Summary

Mace Payne is a cynical drifter who catches venomous snakes for cash—until he falls passionately in love with Iana, the daughter of a zealous and domineering local preacher. Caught between the intoxicating pull of their forbidden romance and the terrifying grip of religious extremism, Mace and Iana must navigate a volatile community where blind faith and fatal consequences are deeply intertwined.
